Down payment assistance and closing grants are offered by State, County and City organizations to help individuals and families to become homeowners.
The programs available vary depending on the location of the property. Most are geared towards First Time Home Buyers (those that have not owned any property in 3 years) but there are programs available for those who are repeat buyers.
Some of the programs are funded first come first served basis so it is always important to confirm that funds are available before you begin the process.
